| May 22 2008: As work continues
on the restoration and necessary maintenance on Great Yarmouth's
Town Hall, pictures taken from the top of the Victorian building
show a unique sight of the quayside. |

| May 18 2008: Our photographer
took advantage of the opening of Nelson's Monument on South Denes
to get these three glorious shots shwoing the rooftops - and more
of Great Yarmouth |

May 13 2008: Under a skeleton
of scaffolding high above the streets, work is continuing to restore
Great Yarmouth town hall.
Urgent repairs are taking place re-roofing of the monument to
Victorian civic pride that has stood grandly on the waterfront
for more than a century.
Under protective sheets tiles are being stripped off rotting timbers
cut out and ageing stonework repaired after decades of damage
from the elements.
Slates are being sourced from the same Welsh quarry that was used
for the brick and red sandstone building’s original construction.
The £1.5m restoration project began in October and is expected
to finish by the Autumn.

April 30 2008: The landmark Wellington Pier
has regained its crowning glory as part of its transormation.
The pier was dismantled and taken away for blasting to protect
the beach from pollution - and now it is beginning to take shape
again - a skeleton on the sands!

April 28 2008: Great Yarmouth's outer harbour
site is full of activity wuth the northern breakwater almost complete.
The £50m harbour is expected to be completed on time in
the early part of 2009.
